Spekls was born from a moment in life when everything slowed down — and what truly matters became clear.

A year ago, our family moved from Europe to the UAE to start a new chapter. Just a few months later, while adjusting to a new country and culture, our five-year-old son was diagnosed with a serious oncological illness. What followed were more than seven months spent in hospitals, away from normal life, routines, and work.

During that time, we had a lot of space to think.

We thought about how we would want to live if circumstances were different.
How we would want to spend our time.
What truly connects a family.

The answer was simple: shared moments.

We missed traveling, camping, playing games together, having meaningful conversations, and enjoying small experiences that bring people closer. Not expensive things — but thoughtful ones. Moments that stay with you.
